In central Helsinki on Monday 06 January 2006 afternoon about 200 people gathered outside the embassy of Denmark. This people protest against the cartoons of the prophet Muhammad printed in September by Danish daily Jyllands-Posten. This demonstration was organized by the Islamic Society of Finland, began at 3.30pm and half an hour behind schedule due to delayed trains. Khodr Chehab - imam went inside the embassy. Before the event embassy staff had told the Finnish News Agency that they would welcome a representative of the demonstrators. But the crowd dispersed quickly in a temperature of -20 degrees Celsius.
