At Helsinki-Vantaa international airport to welcome the star of NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien gathered thousands of Finnish fans. When O’Brien landed Saturday night for a five-day visit, which includes a Tuesday session with President Tarja Halonen he was met by about 100 journalists. On his show O’Brien had a running joke throughout Halonen’s re-election run and actively campaigned for her because they both have red hair. And also taking credit for Halonen’s re-election, O’Brien told Finnish journalists that he would make a request of the president when the two finally come face-to-face. The newspaper said: the request is for a Cabinet position in keeping with the U.S. political tradition of rewarding supporters. Also O’Brien said that he would like to be the inspector of saunas. Mostly are women’s saunas, but also men’s, if they are under 30 and good-looking.
